A woman who paid thousands of dollars for sex with a male escort said she would not hesitate to book one again.
46-year-old divorcee Cyndi allowed herself to be filmed hiring an escort for a new documentary by Jodie Marsh, Women Who Pay For Sex, and explained her reasons on This Morning.
Speaking live from her home in Los Angeles, Cyndi said: ‘I’ve been divorced for a few years and I haven’t been dating.
‘It was something I was curious about. It served my needs without getting super serious with anyone.
‘The original plan was that we’d do a fun activity. We did yoga, it was good fun. He was really sweet and nice. I had an open mind about the chemistry. Maybe it wouldn’t work, maybe it would. It was a chance to hang out with a good-looking man.’‘I had an open mind… I thought it would just be a fun experience and a chance to hang out with a good-looking man who would be into me and paying attention to me.
Cyndi seemed to like what her money had got her and ended up having a wild night with the escort, a father-of-one who is in a long-term relationship with his child’s mother.
But she said there was no way she would end up developing feelings for him.
‘I knew exactly what I was getting myself involved with,’ she explained.
‘It was what it was. I thought he was adorable, really sweet… but at the same time I was not going to let my heart get involved.
‘Would I recommend it? Absolutely. If the situation is right and if you’re emotionally in control of your feelings. I’m really shocked [that no Brits came forward to talk about it].’
Jodie said she had to fly to America to make the documentary because although there are 44,000 registered male escorts in the UK who are all in work she could not find one woman who would admit to hiring one.
She continued: ‘Not a single woman admitted to using them. They are all working. And we met so many of them and they really love their job.
‘British people are not just reserved, they just do not want to speak openly about anything.’
The 36-year-old former glamour model admitted that she has used an escort and said she would do so again.
Jodie said: ‘I’ve been celibate for four years, and at the beginning of the date I found it quite awkward.
‘He was quite tactile and, with me being celibate and not wanting anything like that, he was in my space a bit and I wasn’t entirely comfortable with [it].
‘But by the end of the date I would definitely, definitely use an escort again.
‘If I wanted to go to an event or a party, I don’t want to be the older single woman on my own. We have this thing in England, I think, where women feel threatened of other single women when it’s a room full of couples and you’re single.
‘So if you’re there with a fella, people don’t see you as a threat then.’
