A young mother, who was accidentally shot by her two-year-old son with her concealed hand-gun has been described by her father in law as ‘not in the least bit irresponsible.’
He hit back at critics who claimed Veronica Rutledge, 28, was partly to blame for having a loaded pistol in reach of her toddler while she was shopping in Wal-mark.
Terry Rutledge described his daughter-in-law ‘was a beautiful, young, loving mother’ and said: ‘She was not the least bit irresponsible.’
The supermarket in Hayden, Idaho, was closed for the rest of the day and Wal-Mark’s spokeswoman, Brooke Buchanan said: ‘We are working closely with the local sheriff’s department while they investigate what happened.’Follow Me On Twitter & Instagram: @effiongeton
