Sony Pictures Hack Reveals Bosses Considered Idris Elba For James Bond

The cyber-attack on Sony Pictures has revealed that bosses were considering Idris Elba as the next James Bond.
Elba has often been linked to the role of 007 and now it seems even the studio were starting to see it as a possibility.
According to The Daily Beast, Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal sent an email to Elizabeth Cantillon, former executive vice president of production for Columbia Pictures back in January of this year, in which she suggests that the Luther star get the part.
The email reads ‘Idris should be the next bond.’

Idris himself has said he would be up for playing The British spy if producers came calling.
He told US radio station NPR back in 2011: ‘If Sony decided to call me and said hey, we wanted to do [James Bond], I’d definitely consider it.’
Perhaps this is proof that Hollywood does pay attention to us after all, in which case MAKE A SEQUEL TO DREDD.
