Symon Adeji and the Taruwa have released a press statement in response to publications Gbadgychild entertainment. Saying the article undermines the honest achievements of the group and taruwa as an art body.

We want to announce the misleading
information about Symon Adeji and the Taruwa brand by Gbadgychild entertainment
who claims to be the conveyor of a group that called themselves Taruwa
Festival. Symon Adeji is an entrepreneur, a
Philanthropist and the co-founder of Taruwa LLC, a media, talk-conference and
publishing company where he currently serves as Co-Founder/CEO. In 2004 – 2005 he
gained recognition by being the first publisher in Africa to offer a high glossy
200-page magazine for free, an innovative marketing strategy that earned him
several young entrepreneur awards.
Taruwa LLC is a multimedia platform focusing on the African diaspora demographic from a cross-cultural
perspective. As the publisher
of a soft sell Magazine called “Taruwa…convergence
of the African Diaspora” which showcases African art and culture, the
magazine was first published same time in 2005 and has subsequently been
published in many countries worldwide. Currently we own eight domain name associated
with the brand including www.taruwa.com, Taruwa LLC is currently in the process of launching the first private digital multimedia
App focused on the African diaspora.
Taruwa has
become a global brand of demonstrated strength through extensive, substantial and continuous
use and advertising. In recognition of this fact, we have taken steps to
protect the trademark in the various jurisdictions where Taruwa LLC’s products
and services are marketed by, among other means, registering the trademark in
accordance with the relevant laws of the various jurisdictions.
Lydia Sobogun and gbadgychild entertainment have spread
lies over the Internet in an attempt to undermine our success. Specifically, in
articles entitled: “To whom it may concern: Taruwa magazine disowns
Symon Adeji, label him an impostor” and “Interesting!
Taruwa Vs. Symon Adeji” were published on www.ynaija.com as well as other websites and blogs.
We want to inform the public that the actions of Lydia
Sobogun and Gbagdychild entertainment are a nuisance, damaging the hard work
and pure creativity of Taruwa LLC. Their allegations are false, intentional,
conscious misrepresentations aimed at fraudulently confusing our brands.
Beware of conducting any form of business with Lydia
Sobogun and gbagdychild entertainment and that we have taken certain steps such
as commencing appropriate measures to correct the misrepresentation of Symon
Adeji and the Taruwa Brand.
