Michael Jackson Video “A Place With No Name” Premieres On Twitter

The music video for a new Michael Jackson single has made its debut on Twitter.

A Place With No Name is the second single to be released from the late singer's posthumous album Xscape.

It is the first ever music video to premiere on the micro-blogging website.

The video is actually footage from the single In The Closet which was shot in 1992.

It starts on a beach with crashing waves and then moves to a desert where scenes of a woman and man dancing are interspersed with Jackson dancing.

The Samuel Bayer-directed clip then shows outtakes and behind-the-scenes footage from 22 years ago.

Bayer has previously directed videos for Nirvana and The Rolling Stones.

As the video was published on Twitter, it was also simultaneously shown on a huge screen in Times Square in New York.

Xscape was released in May and shot to the top of the charts. It features production by Timbaland and Stargate.

Jackson, 50, died on June 25, 2009, from a cardiac arrest.
