Robin Thicke Uses Song In Bid To Woo Wife Back

Robin Thicke has made a very public effort to get back together with his estranged wife Paula Patton.

The singer performed his new single, Get Her Back, in front of thousands of people at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Thicke, 37, and Paula Patton, 38, announced their separation in February after nine years of marriage.

Singing on bended knee, he sang the lyrics: "I should've kissed you longer/ I should've held you stronger."

Thicke won four awards at the ceremony and thanked Patton as he collected the trophy for top R'n'B song for Blurred Lines.

The couple met when they were teenagers and married in 2005. They have a son called Julian who was born in 2010.

"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," the couple said in a joint statement earlier this year.

Patton has appeared in the films Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Idlewild, and Precious, which was based on the novel Push by Sapphire.

She also appeared in Thicke's music videos, including Lost Without U and Love After War.
