ILLBLISS… OGA BOSS!! Tobechukwu Melvin Ejiofor, (Born December 30th) better known simply as ILLYIs a recording rap artist, song writer and record label executive, of Eastern Nigerian descent. He has two studio albums to his credit titled DAT IBO BOY (2009) and OGA BOSS (2012). ILLBLISS is an entrepreneur through his own music talent management company The Goretti Company, responsible for moulding the successful careers of top Nigerian music acts Chidinma, PHYNO and versatile producer/sound engineer SUSPECT.

 

^{His musical career began in 1995 with Coal Citys Finest (CCF), the rap duo comprising  of himself and his childhood friend and partner in rhyme Obi Won. IN 2001, Fresh out of the University with a degree in Political Science/International Relations, ILLBLISS And Obi morphed into the award winning and daring hip hop collective THOROUGHBREDS! , one of Nigeria’s pioneer rap crews, alongside crew mates B-ELECT, ELAJOE and Amaka Chief Rocka.}

^{ILLBLISS Went on to launch his solo music career in 2008 with the smash hit singles You Go Wound! , Dat Ibo Boy and Aiye Po Gan. In 2009, HE released his debut album, which was well received within the hip hop community as well as the wider mainstream audience. In that same year he went ahead to win the Best Hiphop video category with ‘You Go wound’ at the Sound City Music Video Awards, a coveted accolade presented by American rap legend Nasir Jones.} 

^{ILLBLISS took some time off the music scene between 2010 till 2012 to adopt a more executive role in the business, and within the same period, he established The Goretti Company, a talent management /creative content development firm. His long running partnership with Clarence Peter’s CAPital Dreams Pictures remains one of the most formidable and experienced music business service companies in West Africa.In late 2011, ILLBLISS returned to the studio to record his sophomore LP titled ‘OGA BOSS’. The first single off the album titled ‘ANAMACHI Kwanu’ catapulted Eastern rap sensation PHYNO into lime light and threw the doors open for subsequent indigenous and dialectical acts from same region. In the same vein, he directed and moulded the careers of MTN Project Fame winnersiMike, Chidinma, Monica Ogah and AYOOLA. The OGA BOSS LP was received very positively and spurned huge radio singles like My Heart Beats featuring Banky W, Sorry! featuringChidinma and the collaborative hit single Emi Ni Baller with Chidinma and Suspect. The lead single ‘AnamachiKwanu’ won under the Best Hiphop video category “ the 2012 Nigerian Music Video Awards (NMVA), Amongst numerous nominations and nods.}

^{In late 2013, ILLBLISS Dropped ‘POWERFUL’, the first single off his third studio album. The single caught on like wild fire across radio stations across the nation and became an instant playlist favourite nationally.The album is scheduled to drop in the second quarter of 2014.}
