In a chat
with me, Humility revealed the reasons behind setting up H Records.
“I want
the unheard voices to be heard”
You’re a
Deejay, CEO, isn’t there a conflict of interest?
“NO!!!
This a pet project of mine, its something I’ve always wanted to do, so I don’t
think there’s any conflict of interest. I will always play any other artiste; I
will also play their songs, on the radio, television, my parties, at gigs,
nightclubs, everywhere. I just can’t be playing only my artiste music…. NO!!! I
can’t!!!!
H Records
is another thing and DJ Humility is another person entirely!!
What
makes H Records stand out from the other record companies in Nigeria?
“We are
doing Proper music, real music and good music”
Don’t you
think the industry already has too many artiste and labels without prospects?
“That’s
the reason we setting up H Records, because we bringing out proper talents,
musicians that are meant to be up there with the likes of 2face, D’banj, Wizkid
to mention a few”
Where do
you see H Records in the nearest future?
“At the
Grammies, seeing my Artiste being nominated for the Grammy and setting new
standards for the Nigerian music industry.”
