Abuja Food Seller Stabs Boy Over N100 Debt

There was a mild disturbance on Wednesday at Herbert Macaulay Way, Central Business District, Abuja, after a food seller stabbed a boy over a N100 debt. Many people in the area said the stabbing eventually led to the boy’s death.
The incident led to the burning of a BMW car and it took the efforts of policemen and soldiers guarding the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to prevent a breakdown of law and order in the area.

Trouble started when the woman, whose name could not be immediately ascertained, allegedly accosted the boy, simply identified as Nuhu over the debt. An argument was said to have ensued and the woman, in a fit of anger, stabbed the boy in the stomach with a knife. His friends later took the deceased away to an unknown destination.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Altienne Daniel, could not be reached for comments as she did not respond to the calls to her phone.
