As the host of America's
Next Top Model, she is an enthusiastic supporter of her industry. And now Tyra Banks has
taken the meaning of 'paying homage' to a whole new level with a series of
original and amazingly well done photoshoots that transform her into other
supermodels. The 39-year-old legend of
her profession took to social media on Saturday to share creative snaps of
herself as Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss.
She went ahead and
explained the project - via Instagram - in which she declared an intention to
portray her 'friends, competitors and colleagues'
'I've put my own spin on
#NYFW w/ a photo tribute in which I LITERALLY transform into some of the
fiercest #SuperModels ever,' Tyra said.
In a sure twist for the
photoshop-happy industry, she added: 'NO PHOTOSHOP! Unretouched. Real. Raw.'
and sent big thanks to 'hours of hair & makeup!'
The famed supermodel - who is a known social media aficionado - promised 15 imitation photos, so 12 more to come. She told her followers that the number 15 is significant to her because it was the age she began her modeling career.
For the overwhelmingly
accurate Cindy Crawford snap, Tyra posed on what seemed to be a bed with the
supermodel's signature mole re-created on her face.
'It was amazing to be
physically transformed into my idol, @CindyCrawford,' she said, in what was
sure to be a flattering shout-out.
The TV presenter then re-created
the look and pose of Kate Moss, in a snap where she leans against the wall. 'Hid my booty &
boobies like a pro, for a pro - all to look & pose just like #SuperModel
Kate Moss!' Tyra said alongside the shot.
Next was relative newcomer
to the modeling scene, Cara Delevingne.
'4 hours of hair &
makeup later, I've become übermodel @Caradelevingne!' said Tyra, alongside the
shot in which she wears a cap similar to one in Cara's recent Instagram snap. In the shot, Tyra pulls a
face to look like she's growling and looks to have darkened her eyebrows to
achieve Cara's signature look.
