MORE than 700 naturists
strip off to smash the skinny-dipping world record.
Exhibitionists young and
old undressed and hit the surf in Vera, Spain on Sunday in a bid to break the
previous best set at 506 in New Zealand last year.
And they managed it
comfortably - with 729 people in total turning out to bare their bits on the
beach. The skinny dippers were
given a helping hand by the weather - which has barely dipped below 30 degrees
in the past month.
The record attempt was
organised by bosses at the tourist board in Vera - an hour east of Almeria -
who are now planning to promote the resort as a destination for naturists.
