Nigerian Comedian Julius Agwu Takes Comedy To Church



Multiple awards winning comedian, Julius Agwu, stages his annual comedy show, Laff 4 Christ Sake, today, Sunday July 28th, 2013.
For the first time, the event will be holding in the church. The annual event, which attracts celebs and fans of the music comedian, holds at The Dome of This Present House, Lekki in Lagos. The church is led by Tony Rapu and incidentally, Julius Agwu is one of its members.
An array of comedians slated to perform at the show are Senator, Funnybone, Akpororo, Owen Gee, Mc Abbey, Acapella, Mc Longs and Mc Jay. Musicians on the bill are Tim Godfrey and the Extreme Crew, Frank Edwards and Tosin Martins.
According to the comedian, his pastor urged him to hold the event at the church, which is his place of worship. His pastor, Tony Rapu, was part of the event last year and this spurred him to host the comedy show at The Dome.
“It’s open to everyone to come and experience God in an atmosphere of laughter,” Julius says.   The London edition of Crack Ya Ribs show is set to hold in a couple of weeks.
