IMAGINE SENATOR AHMED SANI YARIMAN BAKURA's Reply To His Critics.... WTF?

''Nigeria has many uncountable problems and none of them is early marriage. As a matter of fact early marriage the solution to about half of our problems. For those who wonder if I can give my daughter(s) out in marriage at the age of 9 or 13, I tell you most honestly, I can give her out at the age of 6 if I want to and its not your business. This is because I am a Muslim and I follow the example of the best of mankind, Muhammad ﺻَﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ .

In Islam, marriage is not only about sex, it is about family and helping one another in achieving their goals, which is the attainment of Paradise.

In Islam, a girl can be given out in marriage as early as 6 years old, but consummation of the marriage can only be done when the girl becomes physically mature and she gives her consent to it because unlike English law, it is not permissible for a man to rape his wife in Shari'ah Law.

So what can anybody tell me?

~ I live in a city where young girls at the age of 12 have already became serial fornicators and cannot count the number of man they've had sex with.

~ I live in a City where primary school children disvirgin themselves behind toilets on Valentine day.

~ I live in a city where young girls flood the street at night looking for men that would give them N500 to have sex with them.

~ I live in a city where parents send their daughters out overseas to prostitute and send dollars down.

~ I live in a City where Government officials pick undergraduates from University car parks with Coastal Buses to wild sex parties.

~ I live in a city where abortion is so common that even a Chemist shore owner can perform abortion with just N2,500.
These are your daughters, and this should worry you and not Yerima's private matters.

So ask me again why I support early marriage and I will slap the Jinn out of your head''.

  2. I want to believe that this practise has been in existence in the northern part of Nigeria for how many decades now?If Islam position on child marriage is to prevent fornication among the adolescents, then, the fandermental principle here is that our constitution allow freedom of religion. It is believe that this age 13 is when a girl-child starts her menstration and that means the child is in her puberty age.Hence, she is vulnerable to many social vices as prostitution, pornography, sex, abortion and many other immoralities.Whatever that has advantages must equally have some demerits. In this present dispensation where a girl-child needed to be educated to be able to contributes meaoingfully to the society ,To this end, there should be alternative ways to reconcile these shortcomings.A girl-child must be physically, emortionally, sociallly and economical prepared before marriage. By and large,if Professor Rukayat Rufai, the present minister of education had been given out in marriage at that early age of 13,i don't think she would be what she is .Late President Yar Adua's, IBB,Abdulsalam daughters and many others were all educated before they got married.

  4. Yet again my honorable senator Ahmed sani Yariman is right,Am not a Muslim, but I support the sen.The problem with my fellow Nigerian's they are always shying away from the fact because they always think,What will my neighbors feel or think about me,Look around you a young girl have sex at the age of 7 and commit abortion at the age of 12,is better they are married.Beside the senator's wife is 21 and not 13years so you see she was old enough to make her decision,In fact no Nigeria man has any right to speak here because you all are the same you sleep with your daughter's age and give them dog feed as money, why not give those girl's a life rather than sleeping with them,we all should stop this madness, beside early marriage started even before I was born. Some of our parent got married at the age of 12,Why are we angry? is it because a senator took a young girl as a wife,go and get angry for those poor high chief in your village that married 12 years old and can't feed her.God bless my country Nigeria

    1. Ogu Julie or whatever you call yourself, you must have been raised by imbeciles, because it is this kind of thinking that retards our country. How is marrying a CHILD the solution to prostitution? If these bastards were interested in reforming young children, why aren't they building centres for this purpose? Why aren't they passing bills to get kids off the streets? Better still, why aren't these people helping male children as well if their intentions are so pure? Nobody knows what these paedophile do behind closed doors, they are liars and very very sick men. Because you weren't shipped off at a tender age to a randy old fool. Or maybe you are running your slack uninformed mouth because you are an unsuccessful prostitute whose only goal in life is to marry an old rich man. So before you talk, please consider the fact that just because you killed your own dream along time ago doesn't mean that a 6 year old should give up hers because of the lust of filthy and disgusting men.

  7. first off Mr yerima has spoken like a true cattle rearer. Secondly Mr yerima the world has evolved, social practices have evolved, same way marrying more than woman does not fit in the new world order, same way old and archaic practices like your sexual fantasies are frowned upon. Yes a few of you may have "honest intentions" in marrying a 6 year old, but what about the sick ones among you. Truth is you use the sensitivity of your religion as a veil. Shame to you and your cohorts. On the last day almighty Allah will judge.

  8. Yoko or whatever your name is,i don't have any problem with you and it will not start now,i aired my view over the matter and you should do the same is a free world,i come from a responsible home and I was raised by wonderful parent that you will wish to have.I know the bill will not be pass, but which ever way If it is pass or not it will never affect me because my daughter will get a degree before getting married that is what should be your concern. If you want to fight for the girl child let it start from you, don't use the senator and is wife as an example, what is the difference between a man who slept with a 13years old and the one who married a 13years old? All Nigerian men are the same so shut up ur trap you are talking nonsense, fight those parent that give their children out for marriage at a young age rather than fighting this senators.

  9. D anonymous dt said d senator must b from auchi cos all auchi r muslim shld watch his/her mouth...this forum is not to cos a religious crisis.
I'm a muslim female, a legal practitioner, presently married wit a kid, my dad(an alhaji) didn't ship me off marriage.
Cos a few northerners who claim to b muslim dcded to use d law to back up their animal behaviours n stupidity in their ways doesn't mean all muslims r lik dt.
What jst baffles me bout this underage marriage is what does a 9-under 15 knows bout companionship. Marriage is bout companionship, sharing n loving. All these senators r animals n shld b castrated. Seyilaw said...even dogs don't slp with their puppies so these men r lower than animals #smh
