3-year-old Photographer to Stage Exhibition in Lagos

The three year old will show case a collection of street photographs he has captured in his brief life time. Onafujiri Remet, will on June 8, showcase a collection of his photographs at the Terra Kulture in Lagos.
His father, Pius Remet, announced this at a news conference in Lagos on Tuesday. He said the exhibition, titled “Starting on a Great Foundation”, would showcase Onafujiri’s works from the time he started expressing interest in the art of photography to date.
Mr. Remet said a strong expression of Onafujiri’s passion in the collection of photographs started with the number of street photographs he captured over a period of time.

“The photographs he takes along busy streets have shown an additional exception of his passion for mobility; I can only help him further as a parent,” he said.
Mr. Remet, who described children as the foundation for sustainable nation building, advised parents to help their children develop their innate talents.
“Society can only achieve its corporate dream from the quality of people it has, and this starts with the value we are able to create in our children.
“We have taken this dream this far to inspire early parental attention from parents to their children.”
He said a renowned Nigerian photographer, Pa Okhai Ojeikere, had volunteered to continue to mentor the young photographer.
“As we speak, world acclaimed photographer, Pa Ojeikere, has taken it upon himself to serve as a mentor to Onafujiri.”
Onafujiri’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Remet, are professional artists, and their children, Onarietta and Onatteni, have also won awards for painting.
