The last time Wande Coal
released an album was in 2009 when he dropped ‘Mushin2MoHits’ – an album that
not only confirmed his vocal prowess but also brought him fame locally and internationally.
In 2013, Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe aka
Wande Coal, looks to drop a follow up album to his successful debut
effort but in-between now and when it drops, the ‘blackest of them all’,
is planning on releasing three singles to wet the appetite of his fans who have
waited for too long to hear something from the ‘private trips’ crooner.
Speaking through his spokesman,
Abbey, Wande said he would not succumb to any threat from entertaining and
giving his best to his fans following the ban of his video, ‘Go Low’ on local
stations by the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) last year.
“ It was part of the dues we have to
pay as well as the challenges of the entertainment industry. We have left that
behind, our main focus now is to move on and ensure we create more interesting
music for our fans,” he said.
He stated further that the Mavin star who is scheduled to
begin an European tour in February, has a lot in store for 2013, adding that,
aside what he has got to dish this year, Wande Coal, in no time, will drop three
new singles.
