Micheal Jackson's Thriller Album Released in 1982 Becomes First Album Ever to Sell 30 Million Copies

Michael Jackson's landmark 1982 LP Thriller has officially become the first LP to be recognized for selling 30 million copies. The Recording Industry Association of America, in association with the singer's estate and record labels, confirmed the news Wednesday. The record has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide, they reported, and claimed that Jackson had sold 1 billion albums total.
"RIAA has awarded gold and platinum records on behalf of the music business for nearly 60 years, but this is the first time an artist has crossed the 30 times multi-platinum plateau," Cary Sherman, RIAA chairman and CEO, said in a statement. "What an exceptional achievement and testament to Thriller's enduring spot in our hearts and musical history."

Nigerian Government Commends Sahara On Role in Success of Power Sector Privatisation

The Federal Government has lauded Sahara Group and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) for the unfolding transformation of Egbin Power Plc, the nation's largest power generation utility.

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola‎, and the Director-General, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Benjamin Dikki, in separate speeches at the weekend, commended the post privatization achievements of Egbin’s new owners at a meeting to flag off the dispatch of additional 220mw from the Egbin Power Plant to Lagos.

After conducting an on-the-site inspection of the plant, Fashola noted that the change at the plant was impressive considering its dismal state and decades of improper maintenance after it was commissioned over 30 years ago.

I Only Collected N100m from PDP for Campaign Logistics - Jim Nwobodo

Former governor of old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo has denied media reports that he collected any money from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Dasuki Sambo. In an interview with Premium Times, Nwobodo said the only money he collected was N100 million from his party PDP for campaign logistics.
"I have never met Sambo Dasuki. I know Yuguda as former minister, that is all. What happened was that I was invited alongside 15 leaders of PDP in the South East to the residence of Ahmed Muazu to collect the money allocated to our zone by the PDP.

Women Are Injecting Their Own Blood into Their Breasts to Get Better Cleavage

After middle-age, having a pert, rounded bust is wishful thinking for most.
But just in time for the party season, a new - and extraordinary - cosmetic procedure claims to give a temporary lift without chemicals or implants.

Sounds too good to be true? Well, it does come with a downside: you have to have your own blood drawn from your arm and injected into your breasts to stimulate cell growth.

Worse still, some experts warn its results are untested - and could even cause cancer.

The so-called ‘vampire breast lift’ is the sister of the age-defying vampire facelift (in which extracted blood is injected into the face, plumping skin), made famous by celebrity devotees.

One woman who tried the new version was beauty therapist Terry Armstrong, 52. Having shed four stone, she found her cleavage had lost its va-va-voom.
