Pamela Vanorsdale reportedly tried to hire the hitman to "pop" the man with a gun.
The 50-year-old even allegedly told him she would provide the gun and ammo.
But the would-be assassin reported her to the cops.
Daniel Dionne told officers that the meddling granny tried to get him to kill the 22-year-old man.
The homeless man was reportedly having an affair with one of her married daughters.
It is believed she asked Dionne to "get him out of here" because the children were "coming home with lice".
Cops said she told Dionne to "pop him in the head and chest".
The Florida woman also reportedly told him to "throw him off a bridge" to make it look like a suicide.
Dionne agreed with the plan but later reported her to cops.
The would-be killer thought he was being set up by the interfering grandmother.
He is currently embroiled in a legal battle with his ex-wife - who is Vanorsdale's other daughter.
