NYDailyNews: Dating a famous rapper had illicit benefits for accused drug kingpin Damion (World) Hardy, a government witness testified Monday.
A former hit man for Hardy’s Cash Money Brothers crew testified Monday that while promoting Lil’ Kim’s career and trying to start his own music label, Hardy targeted hip hop parties for robberies.
“World would tell me where there was going to be industry parties and I would gather some guys and we would rob the rappers,” Allen (Boo) Bryant said in Brooklyn Federal Court. “A lot of jewelry was going to be there, expensive jewelry.”
The targets were not identified, and there is no evidence that Lil’ Kim had anything to do with the decade-old robbery schemes.
Bryant also testified that Hardy dispatched him to pressure radio DJs into giving his galpal’s tunes maximum play. Bryant recalled that an unidentified Hot 97 DJ had lamented that there was no way he could satisfy the demands, “so World better go ahead and kill me.”
This could go real bad for Kim if someone convinces that jury that she was involved in all this. She better hope her surgically “enhanced” nose is clean.
