A skydiver narrowly avoided death after suffering a seizure midway through a parachute jump.
The man, identified only as Christopher, said he was doing stage five of the Accelerated Free Fall programme when he had a ‘near-death experience’ – he had a seizure and lost consciousness as he plunged towards the ground.
But he was spared a grisly fate when his jump-master caught up with him and pulled his ripcord, releasing his parachute.
‘At around 9000ft I have a seizure while attempting a left hand turn,’ he wrote.
‘I then spend the next 30 seconds in free fall unconscious.
Thankfully my jumpmaster manages to pull my ripcord at around 4000ft. I become conscious at 3000 ft and land safely back to the ground.
‘Possibly the scariest moment of my life.’
