Mum Becomes Surrogate Mother For Her Son

A MUM became a surrogate for her gay son by giving birth to his baby - the first time this has happened in the UK.

Kyle Casson was desperate to be a father, but he was turned away from surrogacy clinics around the country.
But His 45-year-old mum Anne-Marie offered to carry his the child for him and gave birth by Caesarean section last July.
Anne-Marie became pregnant with a donor egg fertilised by sperm from her supermarket worker son, the Mail reported.
Kyle's son, her grandson, is now eight-months-old and is also technically classed as Kyle's brother under the law.

Kyle, 27, said he believes no-one should be denied the right to be a dad.
He said: "I understand that not everyone will agree with it, but they can have their opinions. I have a son and I am very happy.
"As long as people can provide a home, and they have the support, I don’t see why anyone should be denied the right to be a parent."
The single dad from Doncaster said he is going back to work as soon as possible and paid for the procedure, believed to cost between £12,000 and £14,000, himself.
Anne-Marie offered to help after another female relative who had agreed to carry his child found she was unable to.
Kyle said he would tell his son about how he was born when he grows up.
Under the law, the 2008 Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act says the woman who carried the child is the legal mother.
Her husband is the legal father and both are named on the child's birth certificate.
In the UK, it is illegal for surrogate mothers to give children to single parents but as Kyle and Miles are technically brothers in the eyes of the law it is possible for Kyle to adopt his child.
Anne-Marie, a carer, added: "I love being a parent and for Kyle to experience that, I would do that for him."
