Video: 15-Year-Old Makes Half A Million Dollars A Year From Babysitting Business

Many teenagers earn some pocket money babysitting for neighbours and family but this 15-year-old has taken it to the next level.
Noa Mintz from New York started ‘Nannies with Noa’ three years ago in the aftermath of experiencing a series of below-par nannies and babysitters.
It is now reported that she earns $480,000 (£310,000) a year from her agency that places 25 full-time nannies and 50 baby sitters across the New York and Hamptons areas.
Noa spoke to the New York Post about her company: ‘For what you’re paying, your kids should be more stimulated.
‘At 7, I would tell my mom, “You need to get more bang for your buck.” It would drive me insane!’

Her mother, Meredith Berkman, a former journalist, spoke of her daughter’s innate business sense: ‘Noa is a natural-born serial entrepreneur — from 6 or 7, she was always trying to start these mini-companies.
‘She’d reach out to my friend and ask to be a consultant for birthday parties. There are kids whose lives are absorbed by tennis or acting — but this is her baby, her startup.
‘It’s not a hobby for her, this isn’t a lemonade stand.’

It is only recently when Noa was entering high school that she decided to take a step back from the growing company and hired Allison Johnson to be the CEO of the agency.
Johnson, 26, admitted working for and negotiating a salary with a child was tough: ‘It was a little bit of a challenge at first.’

‘She was 14! [But] I’m a feminist, and I really support women who do things for themselves and get their visions out there.
‘We’re in touch every day — phone and email.
‘She’ll get back to me during study hall. She can’t shut off.’
