Mel B has spoken out in defence of her husband Stephen Belafonte.
The X Factor judge has broken her silence to hit back at rumours concerning the state of her marriage.
She posted a cosy picture of her and Stephen on her Instagram page to show that the couple are still very much together.
Along with the snap, she wrote: ‘This is for my fans havin problems with my Twitter will be back soon! I’m very good was very polly [sic] but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans’
The rumours first surfaced after Mel missed the first half of this year’s X Factor final, appearing on the show the following night sparking speculation on social media about her appearance.
Some viewers thought that Mel had been a victim of domestic abuse, which Stephen strongly denied on Twitter describing the gossip as ‘quite disgusting’ and ‘untrue’.
