Jay Z & Beyonce Marriage: On The Run or Heading For The Rocks?

What in the power couple hell is going on now??? Just when you thought being married happily ever after was still a possibility, here comes the latest news to prove otherwise. Page Six is reporting that there is serious trouble in the Jay Z and Beyonce marriage, and the relationship between the super duo that has appeared to be rock solid for the last few years, is actually on the rocks. Don’t squint. Your eyes are not deceiving you. 

According to Page Six, a source close to the couple says the marriage is near done. And though it is just rumor right now, this is the first time the “D” word has been uttered in the same sentence with Jay and Beyonce. more after cut.....

“There are no rings, if you haven’t noticed,” the source disclosed, before letting out a few other details that will probably get repeated over and over for the next couple of months. Drunk in love, it seems they are not. Though very few of us can get close enough to Beyonce to notice anything about her finger, there was a photo circulating back in May that zoomed in on Bey’s finger. The picture showed that Beyonce’s ring finger tattoo had been removed. Early in their relationship, Beyonce had the roman numeral IV tattooed on her finger. 

The number represented Jay Z’s birthday (Dec. 4), her birthday (Sept. 4) and their wedding date (Apr. 4). Now, the tattoo was mysteriously gone. The photo became an early sign to most that there was obviously trouble in paradise. However, in the last few months, even a blind man could see that something wasn’t right in the Carter household. The infamous elevator incident where Solange gave Jay Z a beat-down is probably where this story officially begins. 

Since then, there have been quite a few leaks and a lot of speculation about Beyonce and Jay Z’s marriage. This most recent report seems to suggest that, if nothing else, the union between the two celebs is far from perfect. The Post’s source says that there are marriage counselors (hired by Jay Z) traveling with the couple on their tour in order to “figure out a way to split without divorcing.” Say it isn’t so. “For just a split moment, things got real for them, and she was even talking about adding to the family. But after a while, Jay was out doing Jay and Bey was out doing Bey. 

They made the classic mistake of thinking a child would change everything and help to rekindle the initial fire, and it didn’t,” the source also said. In the article, there was no indication that infidelity had played a part in their possible split, but c’mon, what else are we supposed to think??? First, the elevator. Then, there were the reports that Jay was flirting with Rachel Roy and that being the reason for Solange’s reaction in the elevator. 

And let’s not forget about all types of tabloid stories that came out afterwards, alleging that Jay supposedly had women on the side. Now, if someone could cheat on Beyonce, widely accepted as one of the most beautiful, successful and powerful women in the world, then what’s to be said about the average chick? What happened to having the hottest chick in the game wearing his chain? Unfortunately, the press is pulling down the partition on their marriage. 

What appeared to be one of the only happy family units in celebrity culture (and a great example in Hip-Hop, by the way) is now a questionable one. Hopefully, these are all rumors—or if they are not, maybe Jay and Bey will end up working things out between them. But usually, where there is smoke, there is fire. And over the last couple of months, there seems to have been a lot of smoke. Between this and Blue Ivy’s hair, how much more of this can the Beygency take?
