A resource officer at an Atlanta area high school is behind bars after being
caught posing as a teen girl on Facebook to solicit nude pictures from teen
boys.
11 Alive reports: According to Cpl. Kay Lester of the
Fulton County Police Department, Keith Rucker, a Tri Cities High School
resource officer, was arrested on eavesdropping charges on June 20.
Fulton County police say cameras, computers and thumb drives were recovered
from Rucker’s home on Marcliff Court.
According to Lester, Rucker set up a Facebook page where he posed as a
female to solicit photos of nude boys. There could be dozens of victims dating
back to 2008, according to Lester.
Fulton County police say cameras, computers and thumb drives were recovered
from Rucker’s home on Marcliff Court. According to investigators, the evidence
shows that unknown individuals may have been recorded in “private places in the
home without their consent.”
Officers are working with the Secret Service to open the files; some of them
are said to be heavily encoded.
Fulton County Schools spokesperson Samantha Evans says Rucker was fired from
the district Tuesday. Evans says they have no reason to believe any of the
victims were students at Tri-Cities High School.
Rucker is also the executive director of the Quick Silver Track Club in
Fulton County, according to police. Parents told 11Alive that they had received
emails from another coach saying that Rucker had been arrested and suspended
from the club. Track club practices on Wednesday and Thursday were cancelled.
