Miracle Conjoined Twins Who Shared a Body Die After Surviving for 19 days

Conjoined twins Hope and Faith died in the early hours of this morning after surviving for 19 days.
They were born with two brains in the same skull earlier this month despite their mother, Renee Young, being advised to terminate the pregnancy.
However, she and partner Simon Howie, from Sydney, welcomed the astonishing little girls six weeks early.
Their deaths were announced this morning by Australia's Channel 9 A Current Affair Twitter feed.
The girls were the result of a rare condition known as disrosopus, where a baby is born with two faces.

Fewer than 40 human such cases are known to have been born. Even fewer survived beyond birth.
Mr Howie said shortly after their birth: “We have no idea how long they will be in hospital. We just want to bring them home, happy and healthy to make our family a little bit bigger and a bit more chaotic.

“Even though there is only one body, we call them our twins
“To us, they are our girls and we love them.”

Ms Young said: "You have to see it to believe it. Sometimes faith will cry and wake Hope up, who then looks sideways as if to say 'thanks for that'.

"We are blessed we've got this far. I just find them adorable."
