17-Year-Old Arrested After Raping 6-Year-Old Girl

Raw Story reports: The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office in Washington announced that it had arrested a 17-year-old male suspected of raping and murdering 6-year-old Jenise Paulette Wright, MyNorthwest.com reports.

The girl went missing last Saturday night, but was not reported until Sunday morning, as it was not unusual for her to wander around the Steele Creek mobile home park with friends and extended family.

Phyllis Tindall, a neighbor, said that although the mobile home park is safe, she “wouldn’t let my six year run around by herself and [Jenise] has been doing it since she was 3-years-old.” Tindall noted that she once found a 4-year-old Jenise standing in the yard wearing nothing but a man’s shirt early in the morning.

NASCAR driver Tony Stewart hit and killed another driver who was walking on a track during a dirt-track race in upstate New York, authorities said early Sunday.

CNN reports: Kevin Ward Jr. died from injuries suffered in the incident, which occurred Saturday night at the Empire Super Sprints series event at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park.

Ward’s sprint car hit the outside wall during lap 14 of a 25-lap race, Ontario County Sheriff Philip C. Povero said.

A video of the incident shows Ward out of his crashed car, walking on the track toward the race cars, which had slowed for a yellow flag. Ward points a finger and appears to be yelling. One car swerves to avoid Ward on the track.

Boko Haram Seizes Four Towns in Borno & Yobe States

Sometime Last week, Boko Haram took over four towns in Borno and Yobe states after a gun battle with  the Nigerian military guarding the areas. The four towns they seized were; Gwoza in Borno state and Buni Yadi, Buni Gari and Goniri, all in Gujba local government area of Yobe State.
Not only did they overwhelm the Nigerian soldiers deployed to guard the towns, they also killed at least 100 residents, including the brother of Emir of Gwosa and the chief Imam of Gwoza's major Mosque. More after the cut...

Man Who Specialises in Killing Women & Having Sex With Thier Corpses Nabbed in Ebonyi

Police have arrested a 20-year-old man, Chukwuma (surname withheld), who allegedly specialised in killing Women and having sex with their dead bodies in Ebonyi State. The suspect allegedly killed three women along farm pathways in the area and had sex with them.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Chris Anyanwu, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect was arrested after the police set him up with a girl along a farm pathway and he came out to strangle the girl to death.
According to SUN, anyanwu said the suspect, who is a painter, confessed to the crime and said he did it because his people refused to stop calling him a nickname he (suspect) hated.

Boko Haram: Spouses of Nigerian Troops Block Husbands’ Deployment to Gwosa

Dozens of women and children on Saturday forcefully stopped military trucks from ferrying their husbands and fathers to the Boko Haram-seized Gwosa by locking the exit gates of a barracks in Borno State, demanding quality fighting equipment for the soldiers.

Scores of soldiers have been killed by Boko Haram in Borno State in the last few months, and many blame the inferior weapons Nigerian troops are equipped with to fight brutal insurgents. Reports say nearly 60 soldiers were killed last Wednesday in Gwosa, taken over by Boko Haram after hundreds of heavily-armed militants swooped on the border town.

After locking the gates Saturday, the women and children placed themselves as wedges before the trucks that were to drive out of Giwa Barracks of the 21 armoured brigade Maiduguri, witnesses said.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man, Phillip Katongu, for allegedly stabbing his wife to death. Katongu, who hails from Wamba, Nasarawa State, was apprehended by operatives of the Department of Criminal Investigations, Yaba, Lagos.

The police said the victim, Justina, was stabbed to death in a street at Oniru Estate, Maroko, Lagos, where she and her husband were living. Katongu, who worked as a construction worker on the Victoria Island, had a wife outside the marriage in Nasarawa State before marrying the deceased.
45-year-old Katongu, told policemen that he killed his wife because she infected him with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, among other misdeeds.

Man Brutally Beats Girlfriend up after He Dreamt She Cheated on Him

A 27 year old Florida Keys man is currently behind bars after he allegedly spent the whole of Friday beating his girlfriend up, all because he had a dream that she had cheated on him.

Carlos Gascon's girlfriend told cops that her boyfriend woke up that day already mad at her. He then went on to brutally assault her, beat and cut the back of her leg with a knife, poured hot coffee on her, choked her, threatening to kill the woman throughout that day at her home. At a point, Carlos picked her up and slammed her down on a glass table, which shattered on impact.
